Animal Park of Augusta Raurica
Tierpark Augusta Raurica, Augst BL
Visit animal species that were kept in Roman times!
The animal park of Augusta Raurica is located near the former city wall in the eastern part of the city. Here you can see animal species that were already kept in Roman times: Woolly pigs, various waterfowl, old goat and sheep breeds and more. The newly renovated park emphasises biodiversity and species diversity. A small exhibition in the Panorama Pavilion provides information about life around the city gate. Numerous seating areas and two picnic tables invite you to linger.
