Running classic in the UNESCO World Heritage Site

On 28 and 29 June 2025, the Aletsch Half Marathon will welcome visitors to an exceptional sports experience in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

On Sunday, runners will set off on a challenging 21.1-kilometre course with an elevation gain of 1,050 metres, offering breathtaking views of the great Aletsch Glacier and Valais’ famous 4,000-metre peaks.

The route passes through varied alpine landscapes, from Bettmeralp to Riederalp, via Lake Bettmersee, Riederfurka and Bettmerhorn.

Saturday is dedicated to families, with races suitable for children and amateurs.

Food stalls and musical entertainment will further enhance the weekend, creating a festive atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.
