Appenzeller Forum: Schaeuble Award Concert
Saal Huus Löwen, Gonten
Cellist Rhea Durrer and pianist Romy Unseld are among the most talented young instrumentalists in Switzerland. The 16-year-old Rhea Durrer is already a multiple competition winner and is currently studying at the K+S PreCollege Zurich with Jonas Kreienbühl. At the Hans Schaeuble Award 2024 in Arosa, she impressed the jury with her expressive interpretation of Shostakovich's Cello Sonata op. 40, which she will also present at the Appenzeller Forum. She will be accompanied on the piano by 18-year-old Romy Unseld, who comes from a family of musicians and is also a prize-winner. She has won the final of the Swiss Youth Music Competition three times in a row and is a prizewinner of the international Steinway Competition in Hamburg.
The concert takes place with the kind support of the Hans Schaeuble Foundation and in cooperation with Arosa Kultur.
