Jubilee Of The Last Drop
Grand Bisse d'Ayent, Ayent
Guided walk along the Bisse d’Ayent (Oct 17), with stories, visit, and raclette. Registration (50 CHF) required. 8:30–16:30, St-Romain to Pertou.
On October 17, we invite you to experience a special day of discovery along the Grand Bisse d’Ayent, a historic irrigation channel dating back to the 15th century. The day begins at 8:30 AM in the village of St-Romain, where you’ll be welcomed with coffee and croissants before we transport you to the starting point at Les Samarins.
From there, we’ll embark on a peaceful guided walk along the bisse, filled with fascinating stories and insights into this remarkable alpine heritage. Along the way, you’ll visit the underground hydroelectric power station and enjoy seven kilometers of scenery, tradition, and storytelling.
We’ll end our walk at the canal warden’s hut in Pertou near Anzère, where a convivial apéritif and a hearty traditional raclette will be shared in good company.
