The Eisplanade is a winter venue in the heart of the town of Biel.

It is a meeting place for the young and not so young from Biel and the surrounding region. In the town centre is a huge ice rink on the esplanade, just in front of the congress centre. Besides the ice rink, there are extensive gastronomy and event facilities. The light and image productions on the facade of the congress centre provide an artistic element.
