Moudon Région Tourisme, Moudon

Visit of the Old town, St-Etienne's temple and 2 Museums: Museum of the Old Moudon and Eugene Burnand.
In Roman times, Moudon was a fortified garnison town, whose role was to protect the road wich linked Rome to Avenches via the St. Bernard Pass. During the Savoy era (1207 - 1536), Moudon was the administrative headquarter of the Bailliage of Vaud.
