"Bike Route": Luzern - Burgdorf
Bahnhof/Schiffstation Luzern, Lucerne
This tour is a cycling variant for one of the Jakobswege in Switzerland.
The "Luzernerweg" section of the Swiss Jakobswege begins at the Luzern train station/ship station. Those coming from the Lake Constance direction can take the train (approx. 45 minutes) or the ship (approx. 2 hours) to Luzern from Brunnen.
We largely avoid the heavy traffic in Luzern by leaving the city on the flank of Sonneberg towards Kriens. At the gorge between Sonneberg and Blatterberg, we cross over into the wide valley of the Kleine Emme and follow it up to the Werthenstein monastery. For the rest of this first section of the Luzernerweg to Burgdorf, we then mostly enjoy "pure nature".
