Drawing ancient sculptures at the museum.

In the University of Zurich’s collection of casts, ancient Greek and Roman sculptures are waiting for you to discover and sketch them. I’ll help you observe proportions and human anatomy, recognize characters and poses, and capture the balance and movements of the figures in your drawings. With the help of my outlines, drawing portraits, hands, and feet will come more easily to you. The interplay of light and shadow will also help you clearly define surfaces and shapes.

Dates: the last Sunday of the month, starting January 25, from 2:00–4:30 p.m.
What to bring: drawing supplies and a sketchpad.
