The right people have found each other! She, that's Simone Keller, an award-winning, classically trained pianist who performs on internationally established stages; a restless tinkerer with a penchant for new and cutting-edge music, who can also be found at the controls of electronic devices, with which she makes industrial sounds waft through gloomy nightclubs. He, that is Michael Flury, a jazz-trained "trombone dervish", as SRF once called him; a musical archaeologist who sometimes plays on shells and appropriates the primordial swamp of southern blues via 130-year-old phonographs. In Schaffhausen, the two musical borderliners devote themselves equally to the superstar Franz Schubert and today's unknown black female composers of the thirties and forties such as Irene Higginbotham or Lil Hardin Armstrong (Louis' wife), who never received the recognition they deserved. Keller and Flury weave all of this into a large, rounded arc in this quiet song recital.
