VOLTA Kammermusikfest 2026 – LITANY

From 23–25 October 2026, VOLTA Kammermusikfest returns to Voltahalle Basel for its third edition. This year's theme, “Litany”, explores repetition, ritual, invocation and ecstasy through chamber music. Guest artists include cellist Nicolas Altstaedt, soprano Anna-Lena Elbert and percussionist Augustin Lipp.

Across four concerts, the festival brings together music from composers including Beethoven, Vivaldi, Crumb, John Adams, Messiaen, Dutilleux and Fauré, alongside contemporary and experimental works.

Based in Basel's St. Johann neighbourhood, VOLTA Kammermusikfest creates intimate concert experiences that place musicians and audiences in close proximity, combining familiar repertoire with new and unexpected works.
