A small, family-run chalet hotel for more than 100 years, it has been run by the Stuber family since 1934, and today´s owners represent the third generation.  In our hotel and restaurant we only prepare and serve food and wine of superior quality, based on locally grown ingredients wherever possible. We are convinced that this is the only way to meet our and our guest´s high expectations. ARRIVAL (CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT)
Travelling by public transport, the Swiss trains bring you without having to change from Zurich Main Station to Linthal-Braunwaldbahn in just 90 minutes. Here you board the funicular which travels on its steep tracks to the sunny terrace of Braunwald in another 7 minutes. And if you let us know the time of your arrival one hour in advance, we will meet you at the top station of the funicular with our horse and cart until 6 p.m., after that we will have to order a taxi, and charge for that favour. If you feel like walking, a steadily climbing path of one kilometer length leads you to Alexander's Tödiblick.  By car you reach Linthal from the A3 from Zurich or Chur. Get off the exit 44/Niederurnen which will lead you into the valley of Glarus. Follow the main street for about 25min and you'll reach Linthal where street signs will lead you to the public parking of the cable car station (1st day 5CHF, every following day 3CHF).  The cable car runs weekdays from 5.25am until 8.25pm every 30min and then from 8.55pm every hour until 11.55pm. Rates per person, including breakfast (buffet). Supplement for 5-course dinner SFr. 45.-, full board SFr. 80.-, A la carte, when ever you wish. All hotel rooms are en-suite, featuring color tv, radio-receiver, hair-dryer and direct-dialling telephone. Horse-taxi luggage-service from the station to the hotel until 6 p.m. included; please let us know the time of your arrival one hour in advance. Motorized taxi and transports at later times will be charged. Rates for children in children's or their parents' room: up to 4 years free, 4 to 12 years 50 %, 12 to 16 years 70 % of the price paid by their parents.
