The character allegedly emerged after a fateful fall on the way to the bathroom. Since then, Self-Help Singh has been sharing his “common sense wisdom” and de-motivational teachings with millions of people on the internet. The Self-Help Singh live show is a hilarious yet thought-provoking juxtaposition of stand-up comedy, parody and motivational speaking. Instead of empty promises of success, Self-Help Singh offers pragmatic insights, absurd advice and the reassuring realisation that not every moment has to be maximised.During his decade-long full-time professional comedy career, Boomgaard has performed in New York, London, Dubai and, during lockdown, in his father’s garage.
