In this course, we will accompany you on your first multi-pitch tour and show you the most important techniques and procedures. The specially designed learning routes offer the perfect terrain for safe and practical training.

Multi-pitch climbing means getting out of the climbing garden and into a vertical adventure. In this course, you will learn the basics for independent tours on well-secured routes. The specially equipped multi-pitch learning routes are ideal for practising rope handling, belaying, tactics and rappeling safely.

Requirements
Athletically fit, solid experience in the climbing garden, safe belaying & lead climbing up to at least 4c.

Meeting point
08.00 a.m.

Meeting at the Engelberg mountain guide office. After a welcome and equipment check, we head off together to the start of the learning route.

FAQ / good to know
When will it be decided whether the course will take place?
We will contact you 2-3 days before the course with a weather update. If the forecast is unclear, we will decide at short notice.

What if the weather is bad?
Then we will switch to alternatives in Central Switzerland (e.g. Sisikon or Engelbergertal) or offer you an alternative date.

What if I can't make it on an alternative date?
No problem - we will refund the course fee. Please send us your IBAN, name and postcode/city by e-mail.

Do I have to do the Basic climbing course beforehand?
If you can climb on rock and are confident in the fourth degree, the basic course is not a prerequisite.
